Chapter 4 was originally published in the book you see above. It was illustrated by Joel Christian Gill, a friend and fellow member of the Boston Comics Roundtable. Besides being an immensely persuasive salesperson at a comics show, he’s also an immensely talented artist. In 2014, a much wider audience was able to learn that with the publication of his book Strange Fruit, Volume I: Uncelebrated Narratives from Black History (buy it on Amazon).
