PANEL 1
Medium of the two of them. Angel is getting quite worked up now. Her body is posed as if she were about to slam home an argument, but is caught in mid-motion as she notices something down the street.
ANGEL
You can’t possibly believe that –
ANGEL (CONT’D)
Uh-oh.
PANEL 2
Angel and Desiree on the left. We see their view down the block as Augustin hustles his porcine body as best he can. Desiree has turned around to see what Angel is looking at.
DESIREE
What?
DESIREE (CONT’D)
Oh! Quick, look busy!
ANGEL
Why is he moving so fast?
PANEL 3
Augustin has reached the door to the salon and is about to rush in. Angel and Desiree react with confusion.
AUGUSTIN
I’m not here, understand?
ANGEL
Sure.
PANEL 4
Around the corner, in hot pursuit of Augustin, comes Silvia. Desiree and Angel watch her approach.
DESIREE
Jesús christo… here we go.
PANEL 5
Silvia comes upon them. We are behind her. Angel avoids eye contact. Desiree appears bored.
SILVIA
Has Senor Valverde been by here today?
DESIREE
Augustin? I haven’t seen him.
ANGEL
I – I don’t think so.
PANEL 6
Reversal. We look up at Silvia. She is suspicious.
SILVIA
If you see him –
DESIREE
(off panel)
We will, of course, tell him you were looking for him. And that the matter is most pressing.
SILVIA
Alright then.
PANEL 7
Silvia marches away. Desiree and Angel watch her. Augustin peers his head out through the door.
SILVIA
Buenos dias.
DESIREE
Si.
ANGEL
Buenos dias, Silvia.
