The Ragbox, Chapter 4, Page 6

PANEL 1
Splash page. Outside, we get our first look at Boxwood Apartment Complex: a three-building apartment complex situated in the southeast corner of the Ragbox. The buildings face in on each other on three sides, with a large grass and concrete courtyard in the middle. Walkways from every building lead to a tree in the center of the courtyard. The tree has a low brick wall around it, with a slate top for sitting.

Each building is three stories tall. Each floor has a landing onto which the front doors let out. The landings have a low concrete wall for railing. Here, or in later panels (depending on your composition), we’ll see that Mr. Davis has put a plastic lawn chair beside his door that faces the courtyard. His apartment is on the top floor. See reference photos for this, naturally. The main sentiment from looking at this, though, is that the complex is terribly worn down.

Several other residents are on their way to work. Nearly everyone in the complex is Latino. The few that are black are closer to Mr. Davis’s age. Title and credits appear at the bottom.
