PANEL 1
Ana and Alice take their place among the front of the crowd. All eyes are forward. The group, no more than 10-12 people, is composed almost exclusively of Mexican American faces. Most have shabby suits and shapeless dresses, and are generally on the steeper side of middle age. Ana’s entire body is clenched and closed in. She is terrified of this large, outdoor space.
PANEL 2
Same, different angle and closer in on Ana and Alice. Alice is looking to her left.
ALICE
Here he comes. We can start now.
PANEL 3
Roberto is walking towards us, his shoulders are back. He holds himself tight.
PANEL 4 Same. He trips slightly on a branch, breaking his stride. An angry look crosses his face.

Same. He continues walking, tugging at the hem of his jacket.

Roberto approaches Ana. Alice is beside Ana, half-turned towards Roberto with a sympathetic expression, welcoming him in.
