PANEL 1
Wide shot the living room. It is mostly in darkness, so a great deal of detail is not necessary. We should get an overall sense of how the family lives. There is a worn couch, a patriarchal easy chair, a TV, some plants, a few pictures on the wall, including the requisite Catholic Sacred Heart picture. At the far wall is the window from the opening pages of this section. Ana approaches it. The wind pushes the curtains, and the familiar light of a nearby fire casts shadows on Ana and the bookshelf.

ANA
Oh…

PANEL 2
Close up of Ana’s face, lit by the fire. She stares, wide-eyed.

ANA
Oh my.

PANEL 3 Drop down to about Ana’s waist level. Behind her is the framed oval photo of the couple. We can see it more clearly now: PAPA and MOMMA, a Mexican couple, holding each other in a matrimonial pose as the Sears photographer might direct. Flames reflect in the glass.
